Thursday:6:30 that was the we were going to lethabo power station,it was a very cold morning,we arived at about 10:45.We were nicely welcomed by MR DAAN LEROUX he was the man who was incharge to us around the station,he firstly started showing us were the station is situated, we all thought that the station is situated in gauteng province,but only to find out that is situated in the free state province

he showed us a bicycle with the lamb then he told us that ,that how electricity can be generated,he also told us that it canbe generated in other way eg by water and coal,after he showed us the pictures tha the were on the wall of mottos, turbains,generators etc.We moved to the room were they have a video ,showing us the clips on how lethabo was established,on safety in a work area and how electricity isconverted from eskom to municipality then to towns and locations.

From the video room he took us to the factory were everything is controlled ,we aswbig mottos,the contrl room ,big tanks were the steam going through,after we finished with our side visit we went to their refreshing room, they gave us cold drinks and snacks which was very appreciable,then we thanked MR LEROUX for histime and shoeing us around the station.we took off.

wednesday :On wednesday we were busy with the work that miss Heidi has given us, measure ,estimate and calculate physical quantities: u\s 9010 and 9013

Monday and Tuesday:At 7:30 our group leaders went to a meeting as always,our group were given the task to do the maintanance around the farm,only to find the fault at the caravan park,were the guest circit breaker was triping,when we test with our multimeter,we found out that their extention was faulty were live ad neutral are touching each other,we fixed the extention evrything was woking very well and the guest were happhy.After lunch we came to the computers to update our blogs and to do researches up until 16:30.

Tuesday,we were puting telkom cable into the pipes under the trench we started from 8:30 up untill 16:30,because that was not an easy job to do,we were supposed to use a dro wire to pull the cable it was not woking ,were the were corners of the pipes we were diiging trench so that we can cut the pipe using a hack saw,but before the and of the day we were already finished with the job tha t we were given ,and i would like to thank Aaron for the help that he has give us ,he realy helped us with his experience,what i realy enjoyed about him is that he was not taking over the job ,he was instucting us what to do ,at the end of the day mr Heino was satisfied and happhy beacuse i thought we were going to come back to him ,complaining that we are unable to do the job but , the only complain he got was ,we are finished with our task we want another one.

wednesday to friday:On wednesday at 9:30 we went to Mr Ian van Rensburg's ,to go and check onthe lights that was not working and the circuit breaker that was tripping ,in the lights we find out that the globes were burned, and the other problem on the circuit breaker,we realised that the problem was a on transformer,we changed the transformer after everything was working well,on thursday we cheked on the lights around the farm ,after lunch.

We came into the computer room to update on our blog spots and also do some researching on we we do for our job practices,friday at 7:30 Mr Heino chose me,William,Kaizer and Michael to unroll the telephone wire and pull it under the pipes and the roof with a dro wire from acadmy to the roof next to hall up utill to spa,after lunch we went to the carravan park,to help the guest with pulling up the tents,again help those who have electrical problems and oter things they want us to help with,i realised that you don't actually have to know the specific job that you are trained for,because a guest called me to ask ,the kind of a tree,seriously i didn't have a clue what kind of a tree was that,so i tld him i will go and ask.i realised that he cannot wait for me to go and ask .Thats were were i realised that you must learn about other departments job discriptions more especially when you are working on a holiday reserve.

monday and tuesday:My group and the other group were given the task ,to go to sehoale to remove all the cable that are overhead and other cables that are lying outside the trench,to dig the trenches and put those exposed cables under the trench.For me it was good experience,because those exposed cables,can be very dangerous to the people more especially the young once,because the are the once who spend their days playing in those exposed cables

It took us two days to do that job,after finishing the people of sehoale were full of praise,and also suprised ,because they thought that was going to take atleast two to three three weeks,our answer to them was nice and simple,"people do not forget we were trained by Sondela". after we came back to Mr Heino to report to him that the mission that he given to us is accomplished.He said he will send one of his men to go and check if everything is good,he also told us that we must wright job cards so that he could sign them.after an hour he came back to us ,saying that we did a very good job.

Monday:Mr Nolte came with Mr Hageman for the assessments,at08:00 we were starting with the assessments ,we started with the core manuals because we were left with only 4,i like the way the way they asses us ,because if you fail the fist attempt you are given the second and the third attempt,at 3:30 we were finished with 2 core manuals ,then Mr nolte told us start cleaning ,then if we are finished we read the other manuals that are left before we go home.

Tuesday:8:30 starting with the two manuals of core ,i like the way Mr nolte set the test because he doesn't make it easy ,he forces you to read by not making it easy ,but us we know how to disappoint him ,only by passing.

Wednesday:is the last day of the assessments ,finishing with the fundamental manuals.which we they two ,i like fundamentals because that is the one that deals with our daily lives eg like what we spend ,we eat wear etc and also the reason why i like fundamentals is our facilitator which we call her MISS HEIDI,she is so patient,humble and funny that one of the reason why i like Sondela ,because they always manage to find us good facilitators. on fundamentals we are left with 6 manuals to be assessed on.

THURSDAY AND FRIDAY:We were doing our daily task with Mr Heino fixing the problems around the farm ,what i like the most about M Heino he doesn't teach us only electricity ,but other jobs like welding ,plastering so that we could have more experience in our field.

friday:7:30 We held the meeting with mr heino,edward and etien,also the maintanance guys,to be given the task what to do during the day,my group which is me jan ,michael ,david ,kaizer and rosinah were given the task to check all the lights from caravan park ,guest house ,piccinini ,front offices.we went to do our job at 12:00 we were finished with our job,we wnt to edwrd to report that we are finished,he said we must go to class to put our potfolio of avidence up dated before we go to lunch.After lunch we came to the computer room to up date our blog spot until 4:30.
